January 2026 San Rafael Program: The Colorful NWP

Fred Codoni will present “The Colorful NWP”, a rich discussion covering fascinating aspects of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad and its operations spanning the 1940s into the 1960s, including the devastating 1964 flood that wiped out critical railroad infrastructure and 100 miles of track along the Eel River Canyon. Rarely seen color slides from various collections in the NWPRRHS Hogarty Library-Archive will be shown.
Admission is free but donations are kindly accepted. Doors at 6:30 p.m. — program at 7:00 p.m.
